Transformer too close to the window

I saw this around our neighborhood where the transformer's about 10 feet from the second floor window! and the high voltage lines were really close to the side windows. seriously, it's like you could reach out and touch them! Not sure if the power company is going to do something about but they should, right? anyone else saw a similar setup?
 
Yeah, that sounds way too close for comfort, power companies usually have clearance regulations for safety. You should definitely report it, they'll usually inspect and fix it if it's unsafe.

yep, the comment above me is right, it's waaay too close. just stay far away from the transformer and the lines. take pictures from safe distance, then contact the local utility company IMMEDIATELY
 
That seems really dangerous. Having transformers and high-voltage lines so close to windows is definitely a safety issue. It's a good idea to report it to the utility company. Has anyone here ever had to deal with getting something like that repaired or relocated?
