I'm not your average person mainly because I'm the kind that would consider lineworking as a profession. With that in mind, where do I start? What certifications do I need?
Start with an apprenticeship through a union like the IBEW or a local utility company. You'll also likely need to get certifications and these can vary by state but often include things like OSHA safety training, CPR, 1st aid and specific certifications for climbing and equipment operation to show you know your stuff and can handle the risks.I'm not your average person mainly because I'm the kind that would consider lineworking as a profession. Interesting! how long will it take to get this kind of certificationsFinish high school, be an apprentice (choose a good mentor) . Get safety certifications like OSHA and CPR, and a CDL license helps too
it's faster than you think. the OSHA itself needs at least 10 hours of trainingInteresting! how long will it take to get this kind of certifications
